Ignited By The Spirit
St. Therese of Lisieux - Summer Math Class for all the Family.
Count your blessings - instead of your crosses.
Count your gains - instead of your losses.
Count your joys - instead of your woes.
Count your friends - instead of your foes.
Count your smiles - instead of your tears.
Count your courage - instead of your fears.
Count the kind deeds - instead of the mean.
Count your health - instead of your wealth.
Count on God - instead of yourself.
This is taken from the Sacred Heart Altar Society Cookbook 1999, pp.70.
May God fill your summer with bountiful graces.
Fr. McCarthy.

Do you realize that Jesus is there in the tabernacle expressly for you – for you alone? He burns with the desire to come into your heart. Don’t listen to the demon; laugh at him, and go without fear to receive the Jesus of peace and love.
- Thérèse de Lisieux
Prayer for Vocations
Loving and generous God, you called the prophets to bring your word to your chosen people. Your Son, Jesus, called the first disciples to be bold proclaimers of the good news. In the modern world, you continue to call your sons and daughters to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life. Calm the chaos and soothe the sounds of our world, and allow more to hear your soft voice calling them to pick up their cross and follow. May the Holy Spirit fall upon your church in a profound way, so that we may experience a tremendous harvest of grace. May vocations increase ever abundantly and may your church stand as a witness to the world of the good news of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Event Outside the Cluster
June 14 - Come Rock at the Grotto
We are looking forward to our “Come Rock at The Grotto” festival on June 14th. Our onsite auction and festival were a success last year. This is our thirteenth year supporting the Grotto. We are excited to have everyone join us for a fun, family friendly outdoor event with food and beverages from our local area, entertainment plus our silent auction.
The 2025 festival will be hosted on the grounds of The Grotto after the 4:30 pm mass at Sts. Peter and Paul and will continue until 8:00 pm that Saturday. Personally guided tours will be offered as well for all who would like to experience the beauty of this shrine and learn about all that it has to offer.
The Grotto is one of our treasures here in northwest Iowa which attracts visitors not just locally, but from the surrounding area and internationally.
